Jumbo the Clothing Co., has an exciting opportunity for an Order Clerk in our head office in East London (HO).

We have one (1) vacancy to fill.

Purpose of the job:

The primary function of the Order Clerk is to process proforma orders within set time frames and thereafter provide further support to the Buyers Assistant and Buyer by assisting with general department functions.

Responsibilities:

PRIMARY : Process Proforma Orders

  • Capture new products and update old products in Dolfin
  • Capture orders in Dolfin
  • Print order copies
  • Review data captured and sign off
  • Action amendments made by second signatory/check

SECONDARY: assist Buyers Assistants & Buyers with general office functions

  • This could include, but is not limited to, pulling and compiling reports, delivery and quality approvals, samples control tasks, further data capturing, kimbling processes etc.
  • Strive to fully understand and master the ability to perform the role of Buyers Assistant in order to relieve this position in the Buyers Assistant’s absence.

ADMIN CONTROLLER BOWLS ROAD

Jumbo the Clothing Co., has an exciting opportunity for an Admin Controller at our store in Bowls Road (BEBR). We have one (1) vacancy to fill.

The Admin controller will be responsible to perform clerical information processing tasks and activities associated with the update and maintenance of Store Operations records and registers. The Admin controller will also need to attend to general office applications with respect to the provision of routine procedural information.

Key Accountabilities

Cash

Ensure that the banking is dealt with on a daily basis in conjunction with the Store Manager.
Banking must be done first thing in the morning. It must balance. All the cash ups to balance with the banking.
When the guards call to pick up the money, it must all be ready and make sure the Admin Controller, Manager and Guard sign for it.
The drop safe must be locked at all times and the key must be kept by the Admin Controller. Cash float must be checked and all spare keys for the floats must be kept at a safe place sealed in packets in the safe. Cash floats must balance at all times and the Admin Controller must take full responsibility for the safe.
When cash ups are done, the Admin Controller must make sure that the cashiers balance. If a cashier does not balance, the Admin Controller must sort out the problem and ask for assistance if necessary.

Administration

Control the standard of Administration and Procedures in the Store and enforce the relevant disciplines to maintain these standards.
File the filing in the morning and make sure that all the filing procedures are done. All filing duties are:-Cash Control File, Petty Cash File, Stock Control File 1, Stock Control File 2, Personnel File & Internal Request file. Make sure all slips are signed with the necessary signature/s including over-rides, voids, and refunds, till open and so on.
Ensure that reports are up to date. To be addressed on a daily basis. Start of Day Reports.
Authorizing all transactions – 5A level.
Lay-byes are the responsibility of the Admin Controller and the Cashiers.   These must be checked and spot checks must be done.
Admin Controller to make sure all RTS is done on a regular basis.
Spot checks on Cashiers to be conducted.
Controlling of the change on a daily basis.
General filing of memo’s and correspondence.
Data capturing of stock received and sent from branch.

Staff Management

  • Managing the Cash Desk area.

Housekeeping

Maintain cleanliness in office.
Maintain cleanliness at the Cash Desk area.

Shop Floor Function

  • Customer Service

General

In the absence of the Assistant Manager, to fill the role.
Performing any reasonable duties delegated by Management

Merchandising

  • Ensuring high housekeeping standards

STORE MANAGER_GEORGE

Jumbo, the Clothing Co., has an exciting opportunity for a Store Manager in our store in George, (WCGH). We have one (1) vacancy to fill.

The purpose of this position is to have a successful individual that will be responsible for managing an individual store through execution of the marketing and operations plans. Who will co-ordinate specific marketing, administrative, logistics, HR, sales and operations sequences and attends to the general applications and interventions associated with the functionality within the store.

Key Accountabilities

Asset Management
Responsible for the branch as a whole, ensuring that the outside of the store is kept neat and tidy and that inside fixtures and fittings are accounted for and maintained.
Co-ordination of janitorial and repair services.
Stock Control
Is responsible for all stock and will be held accountable for all overages and shortages.
Prepare requisitions to replenish stock.
Identify and report on slow selling items.
Conduct a stock take
Merchandising
Manage the quality and quantity aspects of the merchandise assortments.
Co-ordinate the layout of shelves and merchandise of seasonal and sale displays.
Identify new ways of promoting merchandise.
Ensure required housekeeping standards at all times.
Marketing and Sales
Manage the implementation of all marketing promotions to ensure maximum sales opportunities are exploited.

RISK CONTROLLER_BLOEMFONTEIN

Jumbo, the Clothing Co., has an exciting opportunity for a risk controller to work in the risk department and to be responsible for ensuring all stock takes, store audits and in-store investigations are conducted in accordance with the company policies and procedures, whilst providing assistance and support to the Risk Officer and Internal Auditor.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Stock Count
  • Admin preparation and communication with stores including recommendations
  • To adjust the plan to match stock on hand levels
  • Equipment preparation (including printing of BIN labels)
  • Co-ordinating of physical stock counts
  • Assessing controls during stock count and working together with the store manager
  • Circulation of post stock count reports
  • (Loss @ Selling, Loss @ Cost, Adjustment report, Top Adjustments report neg + pos, pre-adjustment stock loss percentage)
  • Preparation & circulation of final stock count reports including adjustment during the period and any other elements.
  1. Stock Count Staffing Cost
  • Ensure that the staffing cost stays within the budget
  1. Stock Adjustments
  • Assisting stores/warehouse with stock adjustments arising from non-delivery of stock items
  • Perform stock / SKU adjustments
  • IBT (Inter Branch Transfer) Adjustments

  • Verify stores follow the correct IBT procedures as per company policy
  • Verify Stores Manifests are correct
  • Verify that laybye procedures are followed in stores as per company policy
  • Verify that cancelled laybyes are done regularly at stores
  • Conduct laybye audits according to laybye procedures as per company policy
  • Verify stores are following banking procedures when performing daily banking / cash-ups
  • Audit manual books in-store
  • Audit cashier and manager floats
  • Audit the procedure in terms of No Sale, Vids, Refunds and Exchanges in stores.
  • Audit store keys handover procedure
  • Audit petty cash documentation
  • Investigate cash shortages.
  • Audit discounted goods and staff purchases – check relevant documentation and verify discounts allowed.
